# Ingredients:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 4 eggs
02 - 3 tbsp butter, melted
03 - 1 cup milk
04 - 1 tbsp vanilla extract

→ Serving

05 - 6 scoops vanilla ice cream

→ Dry Ingredients

06 - 3 cups sugar, split
07 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
08 - 1 pinch salt
09 - 2 tsp baking powder

→ Fruit

10 - 6 apples

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the top inch off each apple. Cut small triangles around the edges to create eight-point stars as shown in the video. Follow the same pattern to remove tiny triangles from the bottom of each star slice. Heat 2 1/2 cups sugar slowly in a pan, adding just half a cup at a time until you get caramel. When it turns amber, pour in 1 cup of hot water. Set aside to cool down, then dip all 6 apple stars into the caramel mixture.
02 - Take the leftover apple bottoms and cut out their cores. Slice them super thin into half-moon shapes. Layer these slices in your square baking dish until it's full. Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, eggs, melted butter, milk and vanilla in a bowl. Add the flour, salt and baking powder and stir until everything's mixed up. Pour this mix over your apple slices and bake for 45 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
03 - Take the cake out and flip it onto a plate. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, six spots total. Put a caramel apple star on each ice cream scoop. Drizzle leftover caramel all over. Serve it right away while it's still warm.

# Notes:

01 - Those fancy apple stars really make the dessert look amazing on top of the ice cream.
02 - Go for harder apples that won't turn mushy when you bake them - Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work great.
