Gooey Brownie Pie (Print View)

Enjoy a chocolatey indulgence featuring a crackled surface and melty interior, loaded with three generous cups of chocolate chunks.

# What You'll Need:

→ Base Layer

01 - 3 large eggs
02 - 6 tablespoons butter, unsalted
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
04 - 1 cup white sugar
05 - 1/2 cup regular flour
06 - 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
07 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
08 - 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (use 2 cups for mixing and save 1 cup to stir in)

→ Topping

09 - Hot fudge sauce for finishing

# Directions:

01 - Turn on your oven to 350°F (175°C) and apply some non-stick spray to grease up a 9-inch pan or pie dish.
02 - In a bowl that’s safe for the microwave, heat butter and 2 cups of chocolate chips in 30-second bursts. Stir after each round until the mixture’s totally smooth. Let it cool down a little.
03 - In a mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to whip the eggs, sugar, and vanilla on medium-high for about 3 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when it looks fluffy and pale.
04 - Set your mixer to low speed and slowly add the slightly cooled melted chocolate mixture into the fluffy egg mixture. Mix together until smooth.
05 - Swap to a rubber spatula and gently fold in the flour, salt, and baking powder until it’s just combined. Mix in the last cup of chocolate chips at the end.
06 - Pour everything into your prepared pan and bake for 35–40 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when the top forms cracks and the center is puffed but jiggly.
07 - Take it out of the oven and let it cool all the way down at room temperature.
08 - Once cool, cut into slices and drizzle warm fudge sauce over each piece before serving.

# Notes:

01 - When baked perfectly, the center will stay gooey and rich, but it will firm up slightly as it cools.
02 - Want clean slices? Warm up a knife under hot water first, and wipe between cuts.
