Easy Viral Turkish Pasta Recipe (Printer-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ For the meat

01 - 1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean) - feel free to use turkey, chicken, or lamb instead!
02 - ½ medium white onion, chopped into small bits
03 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
06 - Freshly cracked black pepper
07 - ¼ teaspoon mild curry powder
08 - ½ teaspoon onion powder

→ For the pasta

09 - 1 pound of your favorite pasta (shellbows are highly recommended)

→ For the garlic yogurt sauce

10 - 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (can be whole-milk or 2%)
11 - 2 minced garlic cloves
12 - ¼ teaspoon kosher salt, or as much as you like

→ For the paprika butter

13 - 4 tablespoons salted butter
14 - ½ teaspoon sweet paprika

→ For serving

15 - A handful of halved cherry tomatoes
16 - Freshly chopped dill and parsley

# Method:

01 - Heat a big skillet on medium-high. Toss in your ground beef and break it up with a wooden spoon or a meat masher. Sprinkle it with the salt, some black pepper, garlic powder, sweet paprika, onion powder, and curry powder. Add the diced onion and mix everything up. Cook until the meat is golden brown and any fat is gone—this takes around 15 minutes. Set it aside and cover it to keep it warm until it's time to eat.
02 - While your meat is sizzling away, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Drop in your pasta and cook until it's al dente—firm but cooked. Drain it and put it back in the pot to keep warm.
03 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, grated garlic, and salt until smooth. Taste it and add more salt if you think it needs it.
04 - In a small saucepan, gently melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the paprika until it's fully blended. Let the butter bubble for around 20-30 seconds, then remove it from the stove.
05 - Spoon the warm pasta into bowls. Add a generous dollop of yogurt sauce on top, layer on the spiced beef, and scatter some cherry tomatoes over everything. Decorate with as much dill and parsley as you'd like. Finally, drizzle the buttery paprika sauce on top, and you're all set!
