Flavorful Tomato Spread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups small tomatoes (grape or cherry variety)
02 - ½ teaspoon oregano, dried
03 - ½ teaspoon thyme, dried
04 - 1 clove garlic, cut into four pieces
05 - ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes, dried
06 - Salt according to preference
07 - 2 sticks room temp unsalted butter (226g)

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your broiler to high and let it warm up.
02 - Spread tomatoes on a baking sheet lined with foil. Put the rack about 6 inches below the heat. Cook until they start to darken and get juicy, about 6-7 minutes. Give the pan a shake now and then for even cooking.
03 - Take them out and wait till they're not hot anymore.
04 - Drain off liquid and dump tomatoes in your food processor. Throw in thyme, oregano, garlic, pepper flakes, and salt. Give it a few quick pulses - you want it chopped fine but not totally smooth.
05 - Cut butter into chunks and drop into your tomato mix. Blend until everything's mixed together, about 25-30 seconds. You might need to scrape the sides down once.
06 - Scoop your tomato butter into a small container with a lid. Eat right away or keep in the fridge for up to a week.

# Notes:

01 - This tasty flavored butter goes great with fresh bread, grilled meats, or tossed with hot pasta.
02 - Want stronger flavor? Skip broiling and roast your tomatoes at 200°C (400°F) for 20-25 minutes instead.
