In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry gelatin dessert mix with hot water. Stir continuously until gelatin dissolves completely and no granules remain.

Add cold water to the bowl and stir to combine. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes to allow the mixture to cool slightly without setting.

Whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix into the cooled gelatin mixture until the blend is completely smooth and free of lumps. Return bowl to the refrigerator and chill for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
