In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder. Stir until well-blended and smooth.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut the dough into even strips approximately 2 inches wide.

Spoon filling onto one half of each pastry strip. Fold each strip in half lengthwise, gently press the edges to seal, then twist to create a spiral shape.

Arrange the filled twists on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the surface with beaten egg for a golden finish.
