# What You'll Need:

→ Sandwich Parts

01 - 4 slices crispy bacon, cooked
02 - 4 slices Italian-style bread
03 - 2 whole jalapeños, sliced in half and de-seeded
04 - 4 ounces soft cream cheese
05 - 2 slices sharp cheddar
06 - 2 slices Monterey Jack
07 - Chopped cilantro leaves (optional)
08 - Butter for cooking sandwiches

# Directions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spoon about an ounce of cream cheese into each halved jalapeño. Let them bake on a tray for around 25 or 30 minutes, until they're soft. Pull them out of the oven when done.
02 - Start by laying down a slice of cheddar on two pieces of bread, and Monterey Jack on the other two. Cut up the cooked jalapeños into smaller chunks and split them between the two bread slices with cheddar. Layer 2 bacon slices on top of the Monterey Jack pieces. If you like cilantro, sprinkle some on one half. Put the pairs together to complete two sandwiches.
03 - Drop a few small pieces of butter on top of each sandwich. Warm your skillet on medium-low heat and place the sandwiches with the buttered side touching the skillet. Add a bit more butter on the exposed top side. Allow each side to cook for roughly 3 to 4 minutes, until the cheese turns melty and the bread gets golden.

# Notes:

01 - Want some spice? Leave in a few jalapeño seeds. For a milder taste, make sure to remove all seeds and the inner membranes.
