Warm up a small pot over medium flame. Drop in your fat. Once it's liquid, mix in your broth, mustard, thick cream, smashed peppercorns, and salt with a wire whisk.

Keep mixing as your sauce gets thicker for about 5-10 minutes. The sauce is ready when it sticks to your spoon's back. Take it off the heat right away to cool down.
