Pulled Pork Pastry Puffs (Print View)

Flaky pastry puffs stuffed with BBQ pulled pork and cheddar. Ideal warm snack or appetizer for gatherings.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pastry

01 - 1 package (17.3 oz) puff pastry, thawed

→ Filling

02 - 340 grams (¾ pound) cooked pulled pork
03 - 180 milliliters (¾ cup) barbecue sauce
04 - 140 grams (1¼ cups) shredded cheddar cheese

→ Egg Wash

05 - 1 large egg, beaten
06 - 15 milliliters (1 tablespoon) water

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 204°C (400°F). Line baking trays with parchment paper and set aside.
02 - Unfold each sheet of puff pastry and cut into nine equal squares.
03 - In a bowl, combine pulled pork with barbecue sauce and toss until evenly coated.
04 - Place a portion of the pulled pork mixture and shredded cheddar cheese in the center of each pastry square.
05 - Fold two opposite corners of each square over the filling and press to seal the edges securely. Transfer to prepared baking trays.
06 - Combine beaten egg with water to make an egg wash. Brush the surface of each pastry with the egg wash.
07 - Bake in preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, until pastry is golden brown. Cool briefly and serve warm or at ambient temperature.
