Heat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Give an 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) pan a good coat of nonstick spray or cover it with parchment paper or foil.

Grab a large bowl and mix the strawberry cake mix with eggs, oil, and vanilla until everything's blended well.

Push the mixture into your pan and smooth it out. Pop it in the oven for 18-22 minutes until it's just firm but still soft. Let it cool completely before you add the glaze.

In a small bowl, stir the confectioners' sugar, strawberry jam, milk, and cream cheese (if you're using it) until you've got a smooth mixture that's easy to spread.

Once the brownies are totally cool, spread your glaze all over them. Wait for the glaze to firm up before cutting into squares.
