Parmesan Chicken Skewers (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken

01 - 2 tbsp olive oil
02 - 2 lbs chicken breast, thighs, or tenders

→ Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce

03 - 8-10 garlic cloves, finely chopped
04 - 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
05 - 1 stick salted butter
06 - 2 teaspoons chili flakes
07 - 1 tbsp (or more) of your favorite hot sauce
08 - 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley

→ Chicken Seasonings

09 - 1 tsp onion powder
10 - 1 tsp garlic powder
11 - 2 tsp smoked paprika
12 - 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
13 - 1/2 tsp salt

# Instructions:

01 - Dunk wooden skewers in water for at least half an hour so they don’t catch fire while cooking.
02 - Slice chicken into chunks around 3 inches long. Put them in a bowl or resealable bag, drizzle with olive oil, then stir in the spices until everything’s evenly coated.
03 - Push chicken pieces tightly onto each skewer, with no empty spaces between them. Trim skewer ends if your device is too small to fit them.
04 - Melt the butter halfway in a microwaveable bowl with minced garlic. Add chili flakes, shredded parmesan, parsley, and hot sauce. Stir until creamy and smooth. Keep a third of the mix aside for basting the chicken later.
05 - Pop 2 or 3 chicken skewers into an air fryer set to 400°F. Let them cook for 5 minutes, then flip and brush with some of the sauce. Cook another 2 minutes, flip again, baste, and cook for 5-6 minutes more, checking the chicken reaches 165°F inside.
06 - Spread the remaining garlic-parmesan mixture over the skewer-cooked chicken while it’s still warm, sprinkle with a bit more parmesan if you'd like, and serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Don’t let wooden skewers dry out, or they’ll scorch during cooking.
02 - Use more or less hot sauce depending on how spicy you want it.
