01 -
Dunk wooden skewers in water for at least half an hour so they don’t catch fire while cooking.
02 -
Slice chicken into chunks around 3 inches long. Put them in a bowl or resealable bag, drizzle with olive oil, then stir in the spices until everything’s evenly coated.
03 -
Push chicken pieces tightly onto each skewer, with no empty spaces between them. Trim skewer ends if your device is too small to fit them.
04 -
Melt the butter halfway in a microwaveable bowl with minced garlic. Add chili flakes, shredded parmesan, parsley, and hot sauce. Stir until creamy and smooth. Keep a third of the mix aside for basting the chicken later.
05 -
Pop 2 or 3 chicken skewers into an air fryer set to 400°F. Let them cook for 5 minutes, then flip and brush with some of the sauce. Cook another 2 minutes, flip again, baste, and cook for 5-6 minutes more, checking the chicken reaches 165°F inside.
06 -
Spread the remaining garlic-parmesan mixture over the skewer-cooked chicken while it’s still warm, sprinkle with a bit more parmesan if you'd like, and serve immediately.
