# What You'll Need:

→ For the Chili

01 - 450 g ground beef
02 - 120 ml tomato sauce
03 - 120 ml ketchup
04 - 80 ml water
05 - 3 tablespoons chili powder
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cumin
07 - Salt, to taste
08 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ For Assembly

09 - 12 cocktail buns, Hawaiian rolls, or slider buns
10 - 12 little smokies or hot dogs, cut to fit buns
11 - 75 g shredded cheddar cheese

# Directions:

01 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking apart with a spatula, until browned. Drain excess fat from the pan.
02 - Reduce heat to medium. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, water, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Let simmer while stirring frequently until mixture thickens slightly, about 5–7 minutes.
03 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly coat a 33x23 cm baking dish or sheet with nonstick spray.
04 - Arrange buns in the prepared baking dish. Cut a slit in the centre top of each bun. Place a little smokie or piece of hot dog into each slit.
05 - Spoon chili evenly over each sausage, making sure to get some inside the slit. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.
06 - Bake uncovered for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and buns are lightly toasted. Separate buns and serve immediately while hot.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, serve sliders fresh from the oven. Overfilling the buns may make them difficult to handle.
