Maple Butter Sandwich (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Sandwich Staples

01 - 4 English muffins, split into halves
02 - 4 slices of Cheddar
03 - 4 large eggs
04 - 8 oz ground pork sausage

→ Sweet Maple Spread

05 - 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
06 - 4 tablespoons salted butter, at room temperature

# Instructions:

01 - Take the sausage meat and form it into 4 equal-sized patties. Heat a big, non-stick pan over medium-high and lightly coat it with spray oil. Fry the patties for a few minutes on each side until browned and crisp on the outside. Let them drain on a plate covered with some paper towels to soak up the oil.
02 - After removing the grease from the pan, lower the heat to medium. In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs lightly with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Pour the mixture into the pan and let it cook gently until the top isn’t fully set anymore but still a bit shiny. Carefully fold the eggs over themselves, then pull the pan off the heat, letting the warmth finish them.
03 - Use a small bowl to whisk the softened butter until fluffy. Stir in the maple syrup until it’s smooth and combined well. While you’re at it, pop the English muffins in the toaster and get them lightly browned.
04 - Spread about 1 tablespoon of the maple butter on each muffin half. Lay the folded egg on the bottom half, add one sausage patty on top, and place a slice of cheese over it. Heat in the microwave for 20–30 seconds to get the cheese nice and gooey. Finish it up by adding the top half of the muffin. Repeat with all the ingredients to make four sandwiches. Enjoy while it’s still warm and cheesy!
