Juicy Sicilian Pork Chops (Print View)

Sicilian pork chops infused with fresh herbs, garlic, and lemon for bold, juicy flavor.

# What You'll Need:

→ Marinade

01 - 4 bone-in pork chops, approximately 1 inch thick
02 - 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
03 - 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
04 - 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, minced or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
05 - 2 teaspoons fresh oregano, chopped or 1 teaspoon dried oregano
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon zest
07 - 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
08 - 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
09 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
10 - 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

→ Garnish

11 - 2 slices fresh lemon, optional
12 - 2 tablespoons additional fresh parsley or rosemary, chopped

# Directions:

01 - In a medium bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped parsley, rosemary, oregano, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until the marinade is well incorporated.
02 - Place the pork chops in a large resealable bag or non-metallic dish. Pour the marinade over the chops, ensuring each chop is completely coated. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 3 to 4 hours for deeper flavor infusion.
03 - Set the grill or skillet to medium-high heat and allow it to preheat thoroughly before cooking.
04 - Remove the pork chops from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the chops on the hot grill or skillet and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side, turning once, until an instant-read thermometer registers 145°F at the thickest part.
05 - Transfer the pork chops to a plate and let them rest for 5 minutes to retain their juices. Serve topped with lemon slices and fresh herbs if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Allowing the pork chops to rest after grilling helps to maintain their juiciness and keeps the meat tender.
