Set the oven temperature to 350°F (177°C).

Grease an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch (21.5 x 11.5 x 6.5-centimeter) bread pan and set aside.

Stir the ice cream until it is mostly melted and smooth.

In a large mixing bowl, gently fold the softened ice cream together with the self-rising flour until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

Pour the mixture evenly into the prepared loaf pan.

If desired, scatter multicolored sprinkles over the top of the batter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow the bread to cool in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan and let cool completely before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
