Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let it warm up.

In a pan on medium heat, brown the beef until it’s fully cooked, then drain the grease. Sprinkle in garlic and Italian seasoning, and stir for half a minute until it smells amazing.

Stir in the tomato sauce, sugar, and add some salt and pepper. Simmer everything together for 3-5 minutes to blend the flavors.

Stir together your cream cheese and sour cream in a bowl till everything's smooth. Boil the egg noodles in a pot, following the directions on the package, until they’re just tender but not mushy.

Start with half the noodles in a casserole dish, then add half the creamy mixture and half the meat sauce. Repeat the layering, then sprinkle cheddar cheese all across the top.

Put the dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. It’s done when the cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to turn golden.
