Richly Flavored Brussels Sprouts (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 pounds of Brussels sprouts, trimmed at the ends and split in half
02 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
03 - 1 1/2 teaspoons of kosher salt
04 - 1/4 cup of olive oil

→ Glaze

05 - 2 tablespoons of honey
06 - 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven preheated to 450°F and set the rack so it’s in the middle.
02 - Remove the tough ends on the sprouts and shed the hard outer leaves. Cut large ones in half but leave the tiny ones whole.
03 - Grab a large bowl and toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, pepper, and salt. Arrange them cut-side facing down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
04 - Pop the tray in the oven and roast for 20-25 minutes until the sprouts are nicely browned with a bit of char.
05 - While roasting, mix honey and balsamic vinegar in the same bowl you used earlier. Once they’re out of the oven, coat the hot sprouts in this glaze and serve them up while they’re fresh and warm.

# Notes:

01 - Leave very small Brussels sprouts untouched, but cut larger ones to make sure they roast faster and soak up flavor better.
02 - Store leftover sprouts for up to 5 days in a fridge. Or reheat them in the oven or microwave until they’re warm. They taste great chilled too!
