# What You'll Need:

→ Chicken Parmesan Components

01 - 1 cup marinara sauce
02 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
03 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
04 - 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
05 - Salt, to taste
06 - Black pepper, to taste
07 - 1/2 cup olive oil
08 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast fillets
09 - 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
10 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
11 - 2 large eggs, beaten
12 - 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
13 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

# Directions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking.
02 - Gently pound the chicken breast fillets with a meat mallet until evenly thick to ensure uniform cooking.
03 - Set up three shallow dishes: place flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, dried basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the third.
04 - Dredge each chicken fillet first in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
05 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add breaded chicken and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
06 - Arrange the browned chicken pieces in a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce evenly over each fillet and top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbling.
08 - Serve hot with additional marinara sauce if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Pounding the chicken to an even thickness helps it cook evenly and prevents dryness.
