Buttery puff pastry filled with pepperoni, melty cheese, and savory pizza sauce.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed if frozen
02 - 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
03 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
04 - 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni, mini or regular
05 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or dried oregano
06 - 1 large egg, for egg wash

→ Optional Enhancements

07 - Crushed red pepper flakes
08 - Grated Parmesan cheese
09 - Fresh basil or parsley

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a 10 x 12 inch rectangle.
03 - Spread pizza sauce evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Scatter mozzarella cheese, sliced pepperoni, and Italian seasoning over the sauce.
04 - Tightly roll the pastry into a log, sealing the edge with a bit of water. Slice the log into 1-inch thick rolls.
05 - Place rolls cut side up on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
06 - Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the rolls are puffed and golden brown.
07 - Allow to cool slightly before serving warm. Garnish with optional red pepper flakes, grated Parmesan, or fresh herbs if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For best flakiness, keep pastry cold until ready to use. Rotate the baking sheet halfway through for even browning.
