DIY Yellow Mustard (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - ¾ cup dry yellow mustard
02 - 1 cup fresh water
03 - ½ cup plain white vinegar

→ Optional Seasonings

04 - 1 teaspoon turmeric powder for yellow tint - cut to ¼ or ½ teaspoon if you want lighter color
05 - 1 teaspoon powdered garlic
06 - ½ teaspoon salt, add more if you like
07 - ¼ teaspoon cayenne (swap with paprika if you can't handle heat)

# Instructions:

01 - Stir the dry mustard, water, vinegar and your chosen seasonings in a bowl until smooth and lump-free.
02 - Transfer to a wide saucepan and let it reach a boil. Then turn down the heat and gently simmer for 10-15 minutes, giving it a stir now and then until it's as thick as you want.
03 - Turn off the heat and wait for it to cool down completely. Pour into a container you can seal tight and pop it in the fridge. It'll get thicker as it sits.

# Notes:

01 - The sauce might take more or less time to thicken based on your stove's heat and how thick you want it.
02 - This DIY mustard tastes like the store-bought yellow stuff but you can tweak the spiciness and flavor to your liking.
