Add diced ripe tomatoes, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes until tomatoes begin to break down.

Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream. Mix until the sauce is creamy and well combined.

Return cooked pasta to the skillet and toss with the creamy tomato sauce until noodles are thoroughly coated.

Transfer pasta to serving plates. Sprinkle chopped fresh basil and optional grated Parmesan cheese over the top before serving.
