07 - Salt to taste
08 - Black pepper to taste
09 - Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti or fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
02 - In a large skillet, heat extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden and aromatic.
03 - Add diced ripe tomatoes, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes until tomatoes begin to break down.
04 - Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream. Mix until the sauce is creamy and well combined.
05 - Return cooked pasta to the skillet and toss with the creamy tomato sauce until noodles are thoroughly coated.
06 - Transfer pasta to serving plates. Sprinkle chopped fresh basil and optional grated Parmesan cheese over the top before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Best served warm. If not eaten immediately, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze sauce and pasta separately for up to 2 months. Reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of water or cream to revive texture.
