Effortless California Crab Avocado (Print View)

Halved avocados jam-packed with spicy crab, chives, and bits of cucumber. Topped off with furikake and soy for a punchy finish.

# What You'll Need:

→ Sauce

01 - 2 teaspoons gluten-free soy sauce
02 - 2 teaspoons sriracha, plus extra to drizzle on top
03 - 2 tablespoons low-fat mayo

→ Main Ingredients

04 - 1/4 cup cucumber, peeled and diced into small pieces
05 - 1 teaspoon fresh chives, finely chopped
06 - 4 oz crab meat, preferably lump
07 - 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds or furikake seasoning
08 - 1 small Hass avocado (approx. 4 oz without the pit and skin)

# Directions:

01 - Slice the avocado down the middle, remove the seed, and scoop out the flesh carefully without damaging the shape.
02 - Use a medium-sized bowl to mix the mayo, sriracha, and chives together. Gently add the crab and cucumber, stirring just enough to combine.
03 - Fill each avocado half with the crab mixture. Add sesame seeds or furikake on top and drizzle some soy sauce over everything before it’s served.

# Notes:

01 - Use coconut aminos instead of soy sauce and a compliant mayo for a Whole30-friendly option.
02 - Furikake is a mix of flavor-packed Japanese seasonings. Try Eden Shake or just swap with plain sesame seeds.
