Place Rice Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside.

Combine milk chocolate chips, creamy peanut butter, and unsalted butter in a small saucepan. Melt gently over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and fully combined, then stir in vanilla extract.

Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal. Gently fold until all cereal pieces are evenly coated.

Transfer the coated cereal to a gallon-sized resealable bag. Add powdered sugar, seal, and shake vigorously until evenly coated.
