# What You'll Need:

→ Hash Brown Crust

01 - 4 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed and squeezed dry
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Toppings

05 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
06 - 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage or bacon (optional or use plant-based alternative)
07 - 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
08 - 1/4 cup chopped green onions
09 - 4 large eggs
10 - 1/4 teaspoon paprika
11 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a 12-inch ovenproof skillet or pizza pan.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, mix thawed and squeezed-dry hash browns with melted butter, salt, and ground black pepper until evenly coated.
03 - Firmly press the hash brown mixture into the greased pan, forming a cohesive layer with slightly raised edges.
04 - Bake hash brown crust for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
05 - Remove crust from oven. Evenly distribute shredded cheddar cheese over surface. If using, scatter crumbled sausage or bacon, then add diced bell pepper and chopped green onions.
06 - With the back of a spoon, create four shallow wells in the toppings to hold eggs.
07 - Crack one egg into each well. Sprinkle eggs with paprika, salt, and pepper to taste.
08 - Return pan to the oven and bake an additional 10 to 12 minutes, or until egg whites are set and yolks reach desired consistency.
09 - Let cool for 3 minutes, then slice and serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure excess moisture is removed from the hash browns for a crisp crust.
