Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice.

Place both bread slices, buttered side down, on a clean surface. Layer Swiss cheese, bacon, and jalapeño slices on one slice. Spread blackberry jam evenly on the other slice.

Close the sandwich by placing the jam-topped slice over the cheese and bacon-covered slice, with the buttered sides facing outwards.

Place the assembled sandwich in a skillet over medium heat. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side, flipping once, until both sides are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
