Bird Dog Chicken Sandwich (Print View)

Crispy chicken and bacon, tangy sauce, and fresh toppings combine in a delicious brioche sandwich.

# What You'll Need:

→ Sauce

01 - 120 ml mayonnaise
02 - 30 ml smoky barbecue sauce
03 - 30 ml honey
04 - 15 ml yellow mustard
05 - 7 ml Dijon mustard
06 - 7 ml lemon juice

→ Sandwiches

07 - 4 extra large breaded chicken tenders
08 - 4 thick-cut bacon slices, cooked until crisp
09 - 4 brioche hot dog buns
10 - Shredded romaine or iceberg lettuce
11 - Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
12 - Red onion, thinly sliced
13 - Dill pickles, thinly sliced
14 - Freshly cracked black pepper

# Directions:

01 - In a small mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, honey, yellow mustard, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth. Cover and refrigerate while prepping the other ingredients.
02 - Prepare the breaded chicken tenders as instructed on the packaging. Air fry for the best texture, if available.
03 - Cook bacon slices in the oven, on a frying pan, or in an air fryer until browned and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
04 - Place brioche hot dog buns in the air fryer or oven for 1 minute to lightly toast.
05 - Spread the prepared sauce on the inside of each bun. Layer with chicken tenders, crispy bacon, shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, red onion, and dill pickle slices.
06 - Sprinkle each sandwich with a few turns of cracked black pepper and, if desired, additional sauce before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Doubling the sauce portion provides extra for drizzling atop the assembled sandwich, enhancing flavor.
