Turn your oven on to 190°C (375°F). Cut the peaches in half, pulling out the pits. Lay them with the flat side up on a big sheet pan.

Drop a little bit of butter into the hollow of each peach half.

Stir together brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle the mixture on top of the peaches.

Pop the peaches into the oven and bake for 8–12 minutes. Once they’re soft and starting to brown at the edges, they’re ready.

Dish them up warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
