Set your oven temperature to 200C/400F and spread parchment paper on a large baking tray.

Group three asparagus spears together, wrap them with a bacon slice, and lay them on the tray. Brush with butter, then sprinkle some salt and pepper on top.

Pop the tray in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, keeping an eye on the bacon to get it nice and crispy.

When it’s done, take the tray out and brush balsamic vinegar on the bundles for a tangy finish.
