Cheesy Meaty Texas Dip (Print View)

A cozy Tex-Mex dip loaded with creamy cheese, refried beans, and spicy beef baked to gooey goodness.

# What You'll Need:

→ Meat Base

01 - 1 packet of taco seasoning
02 - 450g ground beef
03 - 60ml water

→ Creamy Base

04 - 115g can of diced green chiles, drained
05 - 225g of softened cream cheese
06 - 450g can of refried beans
07 - 240g sour cream
08 - 120ml salsa

→ Seasonings

09 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
10 - 2 cups (225g) shredded Mexican cheese blend, split in half
11 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

→ Optional Garnishes

12 - Chopped cilantro
13 - Sliced green onions
14 - Sliced jalapeños
15 - Diced tomatoes

# Directions:

01 - Heat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a 23×23cm (9×9-inch) dish lightly.
02 - Brown the beef in a pan on medium. Drain any extra grease. Add in taco seasoning and water, and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens up.
03 - In a big bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, refried beans, salsa, diced green chiles, half the cheese (around 1 cup), garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until smooth.
04 - Mix the cooked beef into the creamy mixture. Pour it into the greased dish, spreading everything out evenly. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the top.
05 - Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted, edges are bubbling, and the top turns slightly golden.
06 - Take it out of the oven and add any garnish you like. Enjoy hot with tortilla chips or crunchy veggies.
